Bartaco’s Smoke on the Water Isn’t Just Blowing Smoke

Bartaco's Smoke on the Water quickly made our list of "Reasons to Take a Long Lunch." Smoky mezcal is paired with a bitter aperitivo and refreshing watermelon to make our favorite end-of-summer sipper.

Give us tacos, and we’ll be happy. Give us tacos and an interesting margarita, and we’re never leaving.

Bartaco, the Mexican restaurant with a Southern California vibe, is blowing some smoke with a new cocktail menu and happy hour that they’ve cleverly dubbed “High Tide.” One of the cocktails, Smoke on the Water, quickly made our list of “Reasons to Take a Long Lunch.” Smoky mezcal is paired with a bitter aperitivo and refreshing watermelon to make our favorite end-of-summer sipper.

Check out their happy hour 5-6:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Smoke on the Water ($10, $7.50 during HH): Banhez Mezcal, Cappelletti Aperitivo, watermelon, lemon, mint
