This Saturday, February 2, Chip Tate, master distiller at Balcones, will be at the Sigel’s at 5757 Greenville Ave. from 1 to 3 p.m. offering samples of his award-winning hand-crafted liquors.

Tate founded Balcones Distillery in Waco in 2008 and a year later released the first Texas whiskey, Baby Blue. Six others have hit the market since, including the more recently highly-acclaimed Balcones “1” single malt in 2011.
