If you didn’t get a chance to celebrate National Drink Wine Day last Friday, then you have another chance to have an extra happy happy hour today. Yes, folks, it’s time to for another national day of drinking — National Margarita Day — so raise your salt-rimmed glasses in honor of our favorite tequila-laced potion. Head to Urban Taco (5331 E. Mockingbird Lane, 3411 McKinney Ave.) and enjoy classic, mango or passion fruit margaritas all day for $5 each, or go to Trece (4513 Travis St.) between 5 and 7 p.m. for $5 house margaritas. In keeping with the $5 theme, The Nodding Donkey (2900 Thomas Ave.) is also offering Partida “skinny” margaritas and Patron margaritas, among others, for $5 a pop all day. The Quarter Bar (3301 McKinney Ave.) has a decidedly different way to get your drink on today. To show their allegiance to all things American, the bar is defying the margarita trend and serving up $2 domestic drafts and Jack and Cokes today. We can already hear the cheers from proud Tea Partiers.
