A video making the Internet rounds shows Vladimir Romannikov proposing to his girlfriend, Monica Dehombre, at a Whole Foods in South Florida. It’s the kind of viral advertising that usually requires an illegally obtained monkey.
The two first met a year ago at the Whole Foods while they were shopping for kombucha, because nothing causes romance to ferment like live and active cultures. Dehombre was apparently so fixated on her shopping she didn’t realize that Romannikov was following her through the store, trying to work up the nerve to talk to her. At the last moment, at the cash register, he turned to her and asked, “So you shop all organic, huh?” which may or may not be some kind of euphemism.
