What would be the question if the answer was “they were both Texas natives in the 1950s”? What’s the only thing singer Janis Joplin and comedian Bill Engvall will ever have in common? One of them happens to be returning to our oh-so-lovely state this week, and unless you believe in all those Sci Fi channel reality shows about ghosts, then your best bet would be the comedian. Since moving from Texas, Engvall has found major success with his two Blue Collar Comedy Tours, his hit television show The Bill Engvall Show and hosting CMT’s Country Fried Home Videos. Bill Engvall will be gracing us with his not-so-ghostly presence at Bass Performance Hall, Fourth and Calhoun Streets in Fort Worth, at 8 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $41 to $71. Call 817-212-4280 or visit basshall.com.
