In Snuggie commercials, there’s always some Stepford wife wannabe happily knitting or reading a book on the couch. In those advertisements, the only people who publicly don their Snuggies do so in the stands at a sporting event. Could you imagine how awful high school would have been if your parents had showed up at your baseball game in their matching Snuggies? It’s rare that you look cool if you sport a backwards robe at a bar, but this Saturday thousands of Snuggie fanatics will take over Uptown for the second annual Snuggie Pub Crawl. Participants flocked in polyester will enjoy drink specials at Frankie’s and The Idle Rich, among others, but it’s all for a good cause as organizers are encouraging Snuggie lovers to donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
