Mama always said that nothing good happens after dark, but she became a mama somehow, so we’re assuming that was just a line she dropped to keep us out of the Pocket Sandwich Theatre’s “R-Rated” Late Night Shows. These are of course the bawdy melodramas and comedies that give the Pocket its good name. Guests must be 17 and older to get in, but they’re encouraged to act like kids again by tossing popcorn at the stage (all in good fun, no “obnoxious behavior or crude or obscene language”). An irreverent parody of late-night cable television movies, the Pocket’s new comedy “Plan 69 from Outer Space” promises awkward laughs when alien women invade Earth using their “natural talents and superior minds” to dominate the menfolk. Catch it one last time Saturday night, kicking off at 11:15 p.m. at 5400 E. Mockingbird Lane. Call 214-821-1860 or visit pocketsandwich.com for more details.
