Few face the problem of living up to a famous father’s legacy like Jason Bonham, son of John, revered Led Zeppelin drummer. The younger Bonham, only 14 when his father died, neatly sidestepped the issue by embracing his drummer dad’s fame rather than shunning it. Bonham learned to play the drums from the paterfamilias, so he’s uniquely qualified to stage the touring tribute Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience. The show, a rocking and rolling smorgasbord of Zeppelin classics, coincides with the 30th anniversary of John Bonham’s untimely death. Since the prospect of a Zeppelin reunion tour fizzled a few years back, this may be the closest uber fans under 40 ever get to the real thing. Expect staples like “Kashmir” and “Dazed and Confused” and “Black Dog.” Though Bonham is quick to say the Zeppelin tribute isn’t his entire life, the music is played “with the love and respect it needs.” Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience is tonight at 8 p.m. at Music Hall at Fair Park, 909 1st Ave. Tickets are $37 to $100.
