The visual assault of a flyer for Pro Wrestling Onslaught’s second DFW Wine Mixer symbolizes perfectly: a jarring combination of unreadable fonts, inexplicable blue outlining around the wrestlers, and what looks like a default Mac screensaver as the background. It’s awesome, and the event — inspired in part by the Catalina Wine Mixer in Step Brothers — looks to be even better. The presentation may be goofy in a fun way, but the bouts feature some serious match-ups and an appearance by former WWE Tough Enough star Matt Cross. The main event pits Jaykus Pliskin, “One Man” Mike Dell, a mystery wrestler and Jojo Bravo against each other in a tag-anyone elimination match. Bring it. Their undercards begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Draft Picks sports bar, 703 McKinney Ave., Suite 101, with live feeds on all the screens in the bar. Tickets are $12 for adults and free for kids, with a $2 discount and drink coupon for advanced purchase. Visit pwonslaught.com for more info.
