Fire and ice and sugar and spice, and all those other things that are so very nice, will be on display Thursday, October 23 at the Latino Cultural Center during Contemporary Ballet Dallas’ season opener, Fire & Ice. Director Valerie Tabor, who was one of our 100 Creatives, will premiere her take on the “Firebird Suite.” Tabor has been collaborating with local musician and Polyphonic Spree member Nick Earl, who has infused Stravinsky’s classic score with his own twist. Tabor will also be restaging her work “Personnel” that examines the monotony of the “daily grind.” Preach. Company member Erin Boone will be restaging her “Fandango for Five,” and guest artist Jennifer Arellano brings back audience favorite “Diablo.” See it at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Latino Cultural Center, 2600 Live Oak St. $17-$35.
