What’s better than helping people out? Staying in shape and helping people out–in cool weather! Whether you’ve practiced or not, the third annual Help the Homeless Walkathon and 5K is around the corner. Thousands of walkers and joggers will gear up and take a stroll through Dallas to end homelessness. In addition to the race, there will be a family fun walk, food, music and fun activities. Proceeds will be used to support Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance, the area’s only centralized multi-service campus for care and housing. Entry fees are $30 until Friday, $35 on event day, $15 for children and $70 for the family package that includes two adult entries and two child entries. The race starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Dallas City Hall Plaza. For more information, visit helpthehomelessdallas.org.
