national Lampoon’s Animal House–some people love it, some people hate it, but between Belushi-as-Bluto’s inspirational speech, (“Did you say ‘over’? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!”) and the moment when cream cheese spews from his mouth as the human zit, Animal House would be brilliant even if the rest of it, you know, wasn’t. Luckily, Delta House’s fight against Dean Wormer’s “double secret suspension,” along with their other antics, makes for a darn fine night of movie watching. The Inwood Theater agrees, which is why they’re unleashing Animal House for this week’s Midnight Madness feature. I’ve only seen this movie on the small screen, and I’m pretty sure it changed my life somehow; the big screen ought to be something akin to a religious experience. Animal House plays midnight Friday and Saturday at the Inwood, 5458 W. Lovers Lane. Tickets are $10. Call 214-764-9106.
