Meddling grandparents — what’s not to love? They ply you with food, then the questions come: When are you getting married? When are you having kids? If you’re happily single, well, they ignore that inconvenient fact. Those are the kind of grandparents that make Nick’s world go round in Over the River and Through the Woods. Nick, a single guy from New Jersey, wants to take a job in Seattle, but his family isn’t happy about it. They concoct crazy schemes to keep Nick close, including a turn as matchmakers. Performances running through October 1 at the Artisan Center Theater, 418 E. Pipeline Road in Hurst. Shows are 7:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays. Tickets are $7 to $16. Call 817-284-1200 or visit artisanct.com.
