Tap dancing is a great way to simultaneously make a joyful noise and have happy feet. If it’s your idea of a good time, shuffle—or step ball change—over to Fair Park for a percussive precursor to the current musical, Spamalot. The tap-tastic pre-show features performers from local dance companies, and an audience participation performance of tap anthem “The Shim Sham.” The Tap-a-Lot National Tap Dance Celebration 2011 takes place from 7 to 7:45 p.m., Tuesday through June 25 at the Music Hall at Fair Park. Admission is free. Call 214-219-2290 or visit thedancecouncil.org.
