The circus is coming to town! And no, we don’t mean the Britney Spears “Circus Tour.” The 139th edition of the “Zing, Zang, Zoom” Red Tour presented by Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey will be coming in by train with high-flying acrobats, crazy clowns and a slew of exotic animals in tow: Asian elephants, Bengal tigers, majestic horses, alpacas and zebras, oh my! A now-you-see-it, now-you-don’t illusion features a disappearing four-ton elephant. So, yeah, where did it go? “The Greatest Show on Earth” has come a long way since the Ringling Bros. acquired Barnum & Bailey in 1907, but not to fear: The old favorites are still shooting from cannons and jumping through fiery hoops. So you and 20 friends pile into your clown car and head over to the American Airlines Center for performances this Wednesday through Sunday, August 8.
