Two houses, both alike in dignity, in fair Garland where we lay our scene. That’s my clever attempt at informing you that Romeo and Juliet, assuredly the greatest love story ever told, will make its way to the Garland Civic Theatre 7:30 p.m. Thursday to kick off the theater’s 2011-2012 season. The tale of two star-crossed lovers will be performed through September 17, with each performance promising what you might expect out of a Shakespeare classic: love, jealousy, desperation, passion — you know, the works. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays and 8 p.m. Fridays and SaturdaysFor more information on performances and reservations, call 972-485-8884 or visit garlandcivictheatre.org.
Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Starts: Aug. 25. Continues through Sept. 17, 2011
