So, some Mr. Picky Pants classical music critics don’t much care for tenor Andrea Bocelli’s opera singing, describing his voice as resembling a thin, squeaky fart played on a child’s kazoo. (Not their exact words, but we’ve fairly captured the gist of what they’ve written.) Poor man, it must hurt to hear such things. Here’s hoping that he takes comfort in the facts that he has sold something like 3 kajillion records, is the world’s most popular crossover artist and his one-time duet partner Celine Dion once said that if God sang, he’d sound like Bocelli. Granted, that statement may in fact explain much about the state of the world, but never mind. People love this guy. Loads of them will be paying $79-$375 for tickets to see hear him at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at American Airlines Center, 2500 Victory Ave. Be one of them by visiting ticketmaster.com.
