Enter the world of high-end hunting at Visions 2011, the Dallas Safari Club Show & Expo. The annual sporting show draws an international crowd interested in safaris and socializing. Hundreds of booths, with vendors ranging from local dealers to African hunting lodges, offer eye-popping items for sportsmen and -women who embrace the luxury lifestyle: furniture, furs and gorgeous guns worth more than a house. Bid on jewelry, art and hunting trips during the rowdy live and silent auctions or gaze upon taxidermy displays of exotic and dangerous game trophies. Don’t forget to dress the part; conventioneers in animal print and leather roam the hall. Visions 2011 runs Thursday through Sunday at the Dallas Convention Center, 650 S. Griffin St. Day passes are $20, multi-day passes start at $30. For hours and more information, visit biggame.org.
