We like our cultural events and entertainment best when they’re free and fun, which is why we’re huge fans of this weekend’s Festival De Los Mavs. Now in its fifth year, the fest sprinkles our Dallas Mavericks community with a little Latino flavor for an afternoon of culture, entertainment and some of the tallest people in town. Join the crowd and spend time with the Mavs ManiAACs dancers (our absolute favorite large-man dance group), Champ and Mavs Man, as well as everyone’s favorite halftime ladies, the Dallas Mavericks Dancers. Show up early and stay all afternoon, and enjoy meet-and-greets with Mavericks legends and current players, live music, dance performances and a special concert from Latina pop star Kat DeLuna. The festival tips off at 10 a.m. Saturday at the AT&T Plaza on the south end of the American Airlines Center, 2500 Victory Ave. Call 214-665-4797 or visit americanairlinescenter.com.
