If you’re counting the days until Comic Con hits San Diego (or if you just want to save yourself from madness and airfare costs), then get a Texas-sized taste of geek season this weekend at Dallas Comic Con. As a special treat, this year’s con will feature “One Fine Sunday in the Funny Pages,” an exhibit of more than 100 comic strips and panels that all appeared in print on April 11, 2010. And if it’s the talent you’re really after, you’ll have access to more than 50 comic book artists as well as a bevy of nerd icons like Nathan Fillion, Richard Dean Anderson, several members of Star Trek: TNG and, of course, Shatner himself. Nerd party 2013 kicks off at 2 p.m. Friday and lasts through Sunday at the Irving Convention Center, 500 W. Las Colinas Blvd. Single-day tickets are $25 to $40 with a three-day pass for $60. Call 214-743-2400 or visit dallascomiccon.com.
