Not one to stick around long, Mary Poppins returns to Fair Park for two short weeks. So if you don’t tackle this performance with the same gusto you approach each and every McRib Farewell Tour, then you, sir or ma’am, are a pinhead. This 14-day run is your opportunity to sing along to the parts of the songs you know and hum awkwardly through the parts you don’t as Mary Poppins, the original, magical, carpetbaggin’ nanny pops into No. 17 Cherry Tree Lane. Or, rather, the Music Hall at Fair Park (909 1st Ave.). You’ll return to memories of your own upbringing as you gleefully watch her care for the Banks children by force-feeding them medicine and speaking total jibberish. (Note to self: Call Mom.) Tickets start at $20.25 and are on sale at dallassummermusicals.org.
