As loath as we are to agree with R. Kelly, we don’t really see anything wrong with a little bump and grind. Also, nothing wrong with a hip rock or sashay accentuated by some well-placed fringe. Don’t have a problem with fishnets, either, now that we’re thinking about it. In fact, a healthy celebration of the female form combined with a titillating display of dance, layered in with some singing and comedy, seems perfectly enjoyable for a Saturday night at the House of Blues, 2200 N. Lamar St. And that’s just what The Ruby Revue Burlesque and Variety Show has on the menu for its 8:30 p.m. show (doors open at 8). Tickets for the 18-and-up night range from $20 to $40 and are available at houseofblues.com. Oh, and if you like what you see, you can learn to do it too — the Ruby Revue gals offer classes. For more info on the show, or unleashing your inner Ruby, visit therubyrevue.com.
