It’s not often a building gets compared to a stuffed animal, but that’s the implied comparison the president of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History makes when he talks about the 66-year-old building: “It has been loved to death.” For many native (and nerdy) North Texans–this writer included–the museum reminds us of the school field trips and summer excursions where we learned we really liked dinosaurs, Australia or ancient coins. About to begin work on a whole new campus, the museum is offering free admission to certain areas, like the DinoDig and the Noble Planetarium, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, August 16.
