Rosalind de Rolon, besides having a fantastic name, is also a former journalist, diplomat and religious scholar who spent 12 years studying the Aramaic Gospels, the Holy Grail, the feminine archetype and the historical Jesus—which is a fancy way of saying she studied the ideas upon which The Da Vinci Code are based, namely that Jesus married Mary Magdalene. De Rolon is now an expert on “decoding The Da Vinci Code.” She will be at Borders at 2 p.m. Saturday to discuss her new book, Prophecy of the Rose, which is described as “a kind of dialogue between spiritual autobiography and religious investigative journalism.” The book traces sacred feminine symbolism from pre-history through contemporary culture.
