If you forgot to register for this year’s Rock n Roll Dallas Half Marathon, there’s still hope for you. Instead of figuring out how to take a 23-block detour to cross the street, we suggest you stop worrying and embrace the thing. Find yourself a nice parking spot by one of a dozen stages and cheer on those more athletic than you while enjoying some rockin’ good (or at least entertaining) tunes from local acts like Lantana, 3 Drunk Monkeys, The Factory Seconds and Godspeed the Jackal. The afternoon culminates in a post-race concert with Andy Grammer at Fair Park, but we recommend you catch the Dolly Parton stylings of Sherrill Douglas at Stone Bridge and Turtle Creek before you head to Big Tex’s stomping grounds. The pistol goes off at 8 a.m. Sunday at Young and Lamar streets. Visit runrocknroll.competitor.com/dallas/ for details.
