It’s already that time of year again, when we begin that frantic search for the perfect gift for mom, one that says “thank you for enduring endless hours of pain and suffering just for me to be born.” When you wonder if some flowers and a fancy gravy boat will show enough appreciation for your mom losing her figure for nine months-plus just for you. Or whether a fruit-of-the-month membership is enough to help her forget the fact that she has to use cocoa butter as her lotion of choice. Forever. If none of these things sound like the best idea, then you should let the Dallas Zoo help you out. In celebration of all those wonderful mamas out there, and in conjunction with Dallas Roars, the zoo is having a Mother’s Day weekend extravaganza. There will be booths for face painting, caricatures and airbrush tattoos, and even a bounce house and inflatable obstacle course for the kiddos. On Sunday, the zoo will hold a Mother’s Day Butterfly Brunch that includes releasing butterflies, and Radio Disney will be there broadcasting. So grab your mom and head out as the Dallas Zoo, 650 S. R.L. Thornton Freeway, continues its fourth year of Dallas Roars. Call 214-670-5656 or visit DallasRoars.com.
