If y’all are ready to laugh your dicks off, let me hear you say YEAH! If that offends you, read no further. That said, Aziz Ansari should need no introduction to comedy fans. The enduring popularity of Randy (“Raaaaaaaaandy!”), the boorish character in Judd Apatow’s Funny People, has outlived the movie and inspired cultish affection. Deemed a “breakout” on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, Ansari spins an Adderall-fueled 180 as Tom Haverford, the loveable sartorialist and status-obsessed douche. Like most of his comedic forebears, Ansari started out as a scrub on the stand-up circuit. He neglected to tell his parents about his comedy career until he had established a strong following and a degree from NYU. Hey, we’ve all known for years what parents don’t know doesn’t hurt them. On stage, Ansari wears a sleek suit–a hangover from his more ironic days–spoofs famous friends like Kanye West and revels in ridiculing pop culture. Ansari assured fans via Twitter that he has all new material for the “Dangerously Delicious Tour,” which comes to the Majestic Theatre, 1925 Elm St., 8 p.m. Saturday night. It’s gonna be dope, y’all. Tickets are $51. Visit ticketmaster.com.
