The Pro Plan Rally Across America “Rally to Rescue” campaign is traveling the country and making a stop at the Dog Days of Denton in Quakertown Park. The rally focuses on pet rescue and adoption, but there are also training shows and lectures on dog personalities that instruct how to tailor dog training to fit your dog’s personality disorder (say, a Scarlett O’Hara complex). You’ll learn about animal training and rescue from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Bring your pooch out to Denton’s Quakertown Park for a sniff and some learnin’, and if you’re in the market for another pup, this is the place for you. The event’s free; Quakertown Park is located at 321 E. McKinney St. in Denton. Visit rallytorescue.org for details.
Fri., May 29, 5-8:30 p.m.; Sat., May 30, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., 2009
