Don’t confuse Bar None Presents: The Girl With the File-Stamp Tattoo for a suspenseful, intrigue-packed stage adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. First off, because that would be really dumb and secondly because these annual Bar None events are skit-based musical variety shows sponsored by the Dallas Bar Association that tend to poke fun at the legal profession, which, as everyone knows, is just a big ol’ barrel of larfs. This show marks the 27th year for Bar None Presents, which are written, directed and performed by Dallas-area attorneys, judges, paralegals and the like. (I’d make some wise-ass comment about the production here, but I never know when I might need a lawyer). Proceeds from the show support the Sarah T. Hughes Diversity Scholarships at SMU’s Dedman School of Law. Catch The Girl With the File-Stamp Tattoo at the Greer Garson Theatre at SMU, 6101 Bishop Blvd. Tickets are $25 in advance; $30 at the door. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on June 6 and 7 and 8 p.m. on June 8 and 9. For tickets or more information, visit barnoneshow.com.
