Slide down the river of milk chocolate, eat the tree branches made of gum drops, dance with the little orange men, but whatever you do, don’t eat the blueberry gum, as you may experience a rather literal “you are what you eat” phase. If you haven’t figured it out already, I’m talking about Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, one of the greatest films Gene Wilder has ever been a part of. After almost 40 years, kids still love it. Hell, I still love it. As part of its Midnight Madness series, the Inwood Theatre will feature the classic film based on Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this Friday and Saturday at midnight. The Inwood Theatre is located at 5458 W. Lovers Lane. Tickets are $10. Call 214-352-5085 or visit landmarktheatres.com.
