It’s the beginning of the holiday season, and a perfect way to start it off is a story of a headless Hessian horseman throwing flaming jack-o’-lanterns at a nerdy schoolteacher. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow has to be one of our favorite stories, and luckily the Creative Arts Theater and School is presenting this timeless tale for Halloween. It’s the story of Ichabod Crane, the town hottie Katrina Van Tassel and Brom Bones, a man who wants to be rid of Crane as a potential rival for Katrina. During a Halloween party, Bones tells the legend of the headless horseman and the superstitious Crane just happens to disappear that night. What happened to Ichabod on his spooky ride home? Dare to find out at 7:30 p.m. Fridays, 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays through November 9 at the CATS, 1100 W. Randol Mill Road in Arlington. Tickets are $7. Call 817-861-CATS or visit creativearts.org.
Fridays, Saturdays, 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays, 2:30 p.m. Starts: Oct. 31. Continues through Nov. 9, 2008
