We are loving this photo from the weekend’s Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. It wrapped up yesterday and participant (and regular Mixmaster contributor) Jenny Block tells us that after walking some 60 miles, she and her fellow walkers all took off one shoe and held it to the sky to honor the survivors as they made their way into the closing ceremonies. The shot is incredible for its energy — especially considering it’s not a press shot but one taken from within the crowd, a shoe in the photographer’s other hand.
