Tired of hot-wiring a Highland Park Hummer, driving around the Park Cities every trash day and digging through the diamond-encrusted garbage for goodies on the cheap? Me too. I love those Tory Burch flats I scored off Douglas Avenue (so they smelled of rotten eggs, like I care.) However, they probably won’t take them for bail down at the HP police department once I get hauled in for grand theft auto. Luckily, the Parkies are making it easy for us lowly working-class folk to get our hands on their unwanted, gently used finery with a 50-plus family garage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday in the teacher parking lot of Highland Park High School, 4220 Emerson Ave. All proceeds benefit Dog & Kitty City, a no-kill animal shelter. Call 214-780-3730 or visit dognkittycity.com.
Sat., May 5, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
