Y’all ready to savor some bites, people? Good … let’s just hope you have a quality bike, or some gas money. That’s right, it’s the time of year when we cherish the delish food and drink of Dallas in the respectable, yet slightly distant, settlement of Irving. But wait! This year, Savor Dallas’ planners got wise that you, Savor Dallas’ attendees, might actually want to well, savor Dallas. So, they scheduled some of the more hip and happening food fest events at Big D locations: Savor Trinity Groves kicks off the festival Thursday evening with a sneak peek at the future restaurant incubator deliciousness. Friday’s Wine Stroll at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science is sold out, but you could always walk around outside with your wine pinky poised and hope someone gives you their extra ticket. Saturday afternoon offers a wine panel tasting at the Warwick Melrose’s Landmark and a tandem Global Wine and Cheese Celebration at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. The traditional grand tasting takes place at the Irving Convention Center (don’t ask — we still don’t get it) Saturday night, but Sunday evening brings it back home with Savor the Arboretum. Admission prices vary between events. Visit savordallas.com for ticket and schedule details.
