A cupcake is the little black dress of desserts. Both can be dressed up for a wedding or toned down for a birthday party. Wannabe bakers can learn how to do the former–whip up fancy pants cupcakes–at the Central Market Cooking School. The instructor will teach how to make rhubarb cupcakes with whipped cream, Boston cream pie cupcakes, chocolate chip cupcakes with butterscotch icing and roasted banana cupcakes with Nutella icing. It’s probably safe to say those cupcakes won’t be coming out of a Betty Crocker box. The Cupcakes for Adults class is Tuesday night from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Central Market Plano, 320 Coit Road.
