Everybody likes things that go BOOM, right? How ’bout food, music and historic military airplane flyovers? Well, Addison holds a crowd pleasing pre-Independence Day celebration that features all of the above. The Addison Kaboom Town fireworks display has been rated one of the top shows in the country. The 50th anniversary of the Addison Airport is celebrated this year, and of course, the fantastic fireworks honor another special day in our country’s history. It’s a huge event and organizers warn attendees to be prepared for traffic issues; festivities run from 5 p.m. to midnight Tuesday with flyover at 7 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m. in Addison Circle Park, 15650 Addison Road. Tue., July 3, 7-9 p.m.
