I’m perfect gang material. I mean, I love the matching jackets, and I’m super great at tying bandanas. I could be front row in any gang versus gang dance-off, any day. But, last time I went to gang tryouts, things looked way less like West Side Story and Grease than I wanted them to. I was like, “Where are the musical numbers? And why is nobody else wearing spandex?” So, until I find a gang that’s more dancey-dancey, less stabby-stabby, my snapping talents will have to wait. If you want hard-core dancing and singing gang action, see the pleathery John Travolta in Grease, showing 6 p.m. Friday (as part of a summer film series) at Myers Park and Event Center, 7117 County Road 166 in McKinney. It’s $10 per vehicle. Bring the kids. Call 972-548-4792 or visit co.collin.tx.us/parks/myers/index.jsp.
Fri., June 1, 6 p.m.
