Residents of Dallas, you might need to rethink your Sunday brunch plans because it’s MetroPCS Dallas Marathon weekend. This 26.2-mile course wraps around the neighborhoods of West Dallas Loop, Highland Park, White Rock Lake and Junius Heights, so either give in and succumb to the perimeter trapping, or break through that wall of joggers like the Kool-Aid Man. (We feel especially bad for the residents living in Lakewood and East Dallas: Y’all are screwed.) Or do the friendly neighbor thing and cheer those runners on as they conquer Dallas on foot. For $130 to $325, rain or shine, the corrals open at 6 a.m. and the finish line closes at 3 p.m. Visit dallasmarathon.com.
