It’s funny that no matter how brutal the Texas heat gets people will still play golf. We’re still trying to figure out how this is a relaxing sport, especially when it’s 100 degrees outside and you’ve got to carry your golf clubs around. But we’re totally game for golf when puppies are involved. Yes, puppies. Animal Angels is a nonprofit organization that rescues abused and abandoned animals and places them in homes, and they’re hosting a golf tournament to raise money to rescue more puppies, kittens and cute cuddly animals that we can’t help but love. Registration for the Animal Angels Charity Golf Tournament ended June 25, but you can still come out to watch a round of golf for a good cause. Hey, you can always drive the golf cart. The tournament begins at 8 a.m. at Plantation Golf Club, 4701 Plantation Ln. in Frisco. Visit animalangelstexas.org for more information.
