Sure, trick-or-treating is a great way to spend Halloween with just about any kid, but why not make this Halloween absolutely perfect? The 24th annual Halloween on Main Street invites everyone to dress in their best costume and head on down to a weekend full of contests, games and, of course, trick-or-treating. Before making a stop at the magicians’ corner, enjoy a few jumps on the bounce house or slide down a few of the gigantic slides. But wait, the fun doesn’t stop there; don’t forget to register for the costume contest. Whether you’re 2 or 82, the top three best costumes will win a prize. Not enough? Bring the family back out the very next day to ride the Scream Train, trick-or-treat on the Hallo-Wine Trail and watch Halloween at the Opry. This year’s Halloween on Main Street lasts from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday in the heart of downtown Grapevine. Other events occurring the following day vary in time.
