I never even watched Ren & Stimpy, but everytime I read a nonsensical word that rhymes with “log” I get that stupid song stuck in my head, so let’s just roll with it. Ready? It’s Trogg! It’s Trogg! It’s lively and song-y and good. It’s Trogg! It’s Trogg! It’s what every musical should!…be. My musical stops there, but Trogg! The Musical is just getting started. Set in a quiet Southern California town back in the 1967 before “dude” and “brah” were words, Trogg! explores relationships — one between a prehistoric caveman and the lady anthropologist who finds him. One between that lady and her pompous ex-boyfriend. And finally, one between the lady’s daughter and the pompous ex’s son. GASP. Romance! Intrigue! Protruding brows! Trogg! The Musical has it all.
