If there’s one thing that unites people, it’s music. It’s been called the universal language, because well, everyone can participate. As rebellious teenagers, we used it to explain ourselves; we create soundtracks for our daily lives; we get pumped up before a morning run. And in light of all of this, the clever people at Off the Record (2716 Elm St.) have put together High Fidelity Book Club, a public club dedicated to reading and discussing music books. This month the pick was Just Kids by Patti Smith. If you haven’t read it, dig into it this weekend and then head to the watering hole at 8 p.m. Monday to meet your fellow music lovers. Discussion is free.
