It’s true: There are so, so many fish in the sea. But you’ve managed to get one on the line — a real keeper, it seems — and now it’s time to celebrate your good fortune with the holy trinity of (printable) Valentine’s activities: chocolates, restaurant reservations and a little date-night creativity. Employ some metaphoric ingenuity and head to Grapevine’s Sea Life Aquarium, 300 Grapevine Mills Parkway, to point out all those other aquatic mouth-breathers and bottom feeders that you passed up in search of your love. If you want to take it even further, go for seafood afterward — but that may come off a little strong. Your call. Whatever you do, wait until the school groups depart Sea Life in the afternoon (because that ain’t a situation for romancing) and stake out a spot under the 360-degree ocean tunnel to watch sea creatures flit and float while you whisper sweet nothings. Bathe in the super flattering light reflected off the 30 display tanks, and revel in the knowledge that you’ve successfully reeled in the perfect catch. The Sea Life Aquarium is offering a special Valentine’s admission from Monday through Friday, February 14: two tickets for $28.
