If you think spelling her last name is tough, try playing the music the hot young pianist Khatia Buniatishvili will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Winspear Opera House. Buniatishvili comes to Dallas as part of the AT&T Performing Arts Center’s exciting new classical recital series. The young Georgian pianist has garnered praise around the world for her romantic touch and moving interpretations of the great piano literature. On Tuesday, her program is full of luscious, late Romantic fare and features piano sonatas by two 19th-century greats of the keyboard: Chopin and Liszt. The intoxicating, bubbling, whirling dance of Ravel’s La Valse and the more modern, rhythmic punches of Stravinsky’s Petrushka round out this exciting program. The Winspear Opera House is located at 2403 Flora St. Ticket prices range from $20 for nosebleed seats to $50 for floor seats. You can snag them at attpac.org or by calling the box office at 214-880-0202.
