In most people’s minds, Halloween equals two groups of people: kids running around in costumes, hopped up on candy, and adults watching old horror flicks, drinking lots of hooch. Leave it to Young Variety, the Children’s Charity of Texas, to find a way to let the second group of people help out the first. Roll like the adult half and head to an outdoor screening of Halloween at the Shops at Park Lane (8070 Park Lane), leave the kids at home because the screening is 18 and older (and it’s BYOB) and soak in the classic horror flick Halloween. All proceeds go to Young Variety. The movie starts at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Shops at Park Lane by Bailey’s Prime Plus. Tickets are $10. Call 214-346-0920 or visit varietytexas.org/young-variety.
