Everyone thinks that art openings are where it’s at, but if you missed the welcome reception for White Space’s Bright Black Lines, then you still may come out on top at its closing bash. That’s where your need for instant gratification will be met, as all works are available for purchase, cash and carry at its finest. For a sample taste, stop by White Space (2001 N. Lamar St., Suite 500) weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and check out the group exhibition featuring the works of 12 great artists (John McLaughlin, JM Rizzi, Robb Conover, Nix Johnson, Christian Millet, Andy Morris, Kevin Obregon, Julia Pappas, Richard Ross, Mike Salcido, Fred Villanueva and Hunter Wild) before the exhibition gets shuttered. Then, take your wallet and get some Christmas shopping done at the closing reception of Bright Black Lines, featuring a live mural creation by JM Rizzi, from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Call 214-272-2450 or visit whitespacedallas.com.
