Looks like the pop-up shop might be the next food truck. Last week, a vintage pop-up shop landed in a vacant building next to the Double Wide on Commerce, and now another pop-up shop is springing up at The Belmont Hotel this weekend.
Junkie Brand Apparel is selling their line of graphic shirts and accessories including hats, necklaces and bracelets at the hotel on Saturday and Sunday. Their super-soft t-shirts often feature iconic images of everything from rock stars to Hindu goddesses, and their hand-stitched logos are often made from recycled clothing. The brand has sold clothing and accessories through their Etsy page in the past, but there are currently no items for sale on their page.
Every Sunday the Belmont hosts a free pool party, but they’re extending the hours this Sunday for a little pre-Fourth of July shindig and shopping. The pool will be open to the public until 10 p.m., and the folks from Smoke will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers poolside.
The pop-up shop will be open until 11 p.m. both nights for late-night shoppers and hotel guests. According to the folks behind the pop-up shop, if you purchase a t-shirt you might be invited back for a late-night pillow fight and after-party. Uncle Sam would be proud.
