Calling all aspiring green thumbs: Do your plants a favor and swing over to North Haven Gardens for Plant the Town Pink, a fundraiser for the Dallas County affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Garden coaches will advise how to manage and improve your garden during a free 15 minute consultation. Pro tip: Bring along pictures of your garden for the coach to see. Enjoy wine (Callais Winery), food and live music (Spyche) while browsing pink-themed plants and other garden goodies. You can pre-order bulbs like tulips, iris and daffodils for next season, and tour the chicken coop and market garden. There’ll also be a container garden demo (no large yard required), raffle prizes and the first 50 people in the door receive a fully loaded goody bags. The after-hours gathering takes place Saturday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at North Haven Gardens, 7700 Northhaven Rd. A $10 donation fee benefits Komen Dallas, and NHG will donate 5 percent of all sales from the event. Visit nhg.com.
