Being an adult totally blows. Instead of spending our money that we worked so hard for (kind of) on ice cream or a sweet new water gun, we’re expected to waste it on rent and bills. And while working those long hours to keep a roof over our heads and food in our bellies, we don’t even get a naptime. What’s up with that? If our bosses want us to finish that first quarter expense report, then we deserve 30 minutes to down our juice boxes and rest our eyes. Yes, being an adult totally blows. You can always take a break from reality by attending the Casa Mañana (3101 Lancaster Ave. in Fort Worth) production of Peter Pan from Friday through May 16. You can pretend that you’re flying away from your stuffy cubicle to Neverland to fight pirates and swim with beautiful mermaids in the lagoon. You can help Peter drive Captain Hook mad, play games with the Lost Boys and attempt to fly on your own by using Tinkerbell’s fairy dust. Yes, being a kid totally rocks. For more information on show times and ticket prices, visit casamanana.org.
Fridays, 7 p.m.; Saturdays, 2 & 5 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: April 30. Continues through May 16, 2010
