For the 15th year, Fort Worth will play host to Chile Pepper magazine’s Zest Fest. A surefire way to spice up the weekend, the event is a celebration of piquant preparations and fiery fare. Billed as “the ultimate party for bold and flavorful food enthusiasts,” attendees will be serenaded by live music while they graze on the thousands of samples of hot sauces, salsas, margarita mixes, pickled peppers and, um, dry rubs. Several celebrity chefs will conduct cooking demonstrations and offer up samples of the recipes. The event takes place at the Will Rogers Memorial Center, 3401 W. Lancaster Ave., where it will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10; children 5 and younger are free.
